My name is Clint Maramag, and I am a Program Officer Intern with the Department of Health & Wellness: Recruitment and Workforce Planning Team. I began as a summer student in 2022 through the Healthcare Futures Program, and the experience and support I received encouraged me to continue in this role, where I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning and contributing.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is the critical value of time management. In the fast-paced world of healthcare recruitment and workforce planning, being able to prioritize tasks effectively has been essential in managing my workload and ensuring I can support my team efficiently.
I was also surprised by how vital communication is to our success. Collaborating with coworkers to understand and coordinate our various responsibilities has fostered a strong sense of unity within the team. This experience has taught me that clear, consistent communication is not just important—it's the foundation of effective teamwork.
